Goal and Summary

At Hirata Station, we demonstrate the assembly process using advanced automated machines. Below is a breakdown of the steps in the animation that showcases the machine’s operation.

This detailed process highlights the precision and automation involved in the assembly process at Hirata Station. By following these steps, the machine ensures efficiency and accuracy in each cycle.

Pull Open the Drawer
The assembly process begins with the operator pulling open the drawer, revealing the necessary components.

STEP Assembly: MP00-U010_10 (Positive Y-axis – Blue Arrow)
The first step involves moving the assembly along the Y-axis, indicated by the blue arrow. This precise movement ensures proper alignment.

Pick Up Fixture (MP00-U005_301)
The machine picks up the fixture and moves it upward along the Z-axis (green arrow) before transitioning along the negative Y-axis (blue arrow). The fixture is then placed onto the base.

Lock with Pins
Once the fixture is in place, the machine locks it with pins to secure it for further operations.

HMI Screen Model Selection
The operator proceeds to the HMI (Human-Machine Interface) screen to select the model number for assembly.

Motor Greasing Station
The motor (STEP file: MP00-U003_RETRACT_18, sub-assembly: Motor_253) is already loaded in the greasing station in the CAD model. The animation shows the motor being pulled out along the X-axis and placed back to simulate loading.

  • Yellow Light On: The yellow light activates when the motor is in the greasing station.

Cycle Start – Swipe Switch
The cycle is initiated by swiping the switch. If the switch is missing, one may need to be created in the 436MB CAD file.

  • T Clamp Movement: Upon activating the switch, the T clamp rotates 90 degrees to secure the motor, and the greasing process begins.

Green Light – Cycle Complete
After the greasing process, the green light indicates that the cycle is complete.

Move Motor to Fixture Base
The motor is then transferred to the fixture base, already in the 436MB CAD file.

Latch Fixture in Place
The latch, which is also in the CAD file, is applied to secure the motor on the fixture base. The latch color may be green, but this also requires verification.

Cycle Start – Screw Assembly
The cycle is restarted with another swipe of the switch.

  • Screw Drivers Operation: Three screwdrivers descend to fasten the motor in place.
  • Blue Tubes (Automatic Screw Feeders): These tubes travel alongside the screwdrivers as an assembly, moving approximately 6 to 8 inches.

Cycle Complete
The assembly process is complete, and the motor is now securely fastened and greased, ready for further use.
