This usecase describes the demo scenario designed for the High Tech companies. The BBB information can be difficult to gather and analyze. Many organizations currently use spreadsheets which are cumbersome and prone to error. Using SAP’s Business Intelligence technology high tech companies can better manage their operational performance to reach (and exceed!) their revenue targets.

1.4 STORYFLOW SUMMARY

The usecase focuses on the use of the BBB dashboard to uncover potential problems. The dashboard focuses on the 3 KPI’s – Bookings, Billings and Backlog. The calculation of the Book-to-Bill ratio is also captured along with the Target Billings to quickly see the health of the business. Ideally the Book to Bill Ratio is a value of 1. If it is quite a bit higher or lower then further investigation is required to discover the root cause. During the demo the VP of Sales will first investigate the weekly KPI’s. First discover a low ratio and secondly a high ratio to investigate further. Then look at the quarterly numbers to see if the company is poised to hit their targets. Here will discover that certain products have a backlog that should be shipped putting the company back on track to meet their targets.
